Yes, I know it sounds too good to be true... However, if you live in the US, TV is free to most of us that live in suburban areas that are in range of multiple TV broadcasters. And the best part of it is that the picture quality is nothing short of awesome. Not every channel broadcasts in High Definition, but all of the major ones do and look incredible. There are also lots more channels that you'd expect. If you are a fan of PBS, you might be lucky enough to receive several different channels.

For you sports fans, you will be really impressed with HD channels when watching sporting events. Cable and Satellite companies often apply more compression than broadcast TV. The result is that broadcast sports look great. I really enjoyed the quality of the winter olympic games and it was totally free!
Enough is enough, lets get started with what you need:
- Digital Tuner (your TV may already have this)
- TV antenna (old ones work, but you probably want a good one)
- Media PC
- High Definition TV or computer.
You don't even need a TV if you are planning to watch TV directly on your computer.
Many residents of rural areas are out of range of digital signals and can only get decent TV via either cable or satellite. Those same folks usually have only one cable provider so there is no market competition to reduce rates. This also means that high speed internet is much more expensive than in more densely populated areas.
